Shield Cig

Shield Cig Vape Cotton for Coil Builders
At Dampfi, Shield Cig is best known for vape cotton for rebuildable atomizers. It’s a solid choice if you wick your own coils in RTAs, RDAs or RDTAs and want full control over liquid flow through the way you cut, dose and place your cotton.
Why cotton matters in your coil setup
With wicking cotton, the fibre structure plays a big part in how evenly liquid reaches the coil. Too little cotton can make leaking more likely, while too much can choke the wick and lead to dry hits. That’s why it’s worth using cotton that’s easy to pull through, trim and tuck neatly into the wick channels.
Which atomizers this category is for
Shield Cig vape cotton is made for typical rebuildable setups where you adjust the amount of cotton to match your coil inner diameter, wattage and liquid viscosity. In tank systems like RTAs and RDTAs, reliable wicking is the priority; with drippers, it’s also important that the cotton soaks up liquid well and stays clear of the airflow path.
- For self-built coils in RTAs, RDAs and RDTAs
- Ideal if you want to fine-tune your cotton amount and liquid flow
- Suitable for maintenance, re-wicking and regular cotton changes
- A smart part of a DIY setup with matching coils and building tools
Tips for use
Cut the cotton so it slides through the coil with slight resistance. Comb out the ends only as much as your atomizer needs, and lay them loosely in the wick channels instead of packing them tight. After priming, the liquid should visibly soak into the cotton before you gradually increase the wattage.
