Why we no longer sell the Vozol Bar 1200

Because there is currently no specific legal basis—in other words, because e-cigarettes are not covered by the Swiss Tobacco Products Act—nicotine-containing e-liquids and prefilled nicotine cartridges can be sold under the Cassis de Dijon principle. This principle states that, in the interests of competitiveness, products may also be sold in Switzerland if they are approved in the European Economic Area (EEA). EU tobacco product regulations stipulate that nicotine-containing e-liquids must not be sold in bottles larger than 10 ml. Prefilled cartridges and disposable e-cigarettes must also not contain more than 2 ml of e-liquid. Even though there is an EEA country where this restriction does not apply, in November 2023 we were ordered to comply with EU standards, regardless of the fact that these products should also be marketable in Switzerland under the Cassis de Dijon principle. Taking this legal situation to court would likely take longer than the finalisation of the new Swiss Tobacco Products Ordinance, which will bring us the same problem anyway. In practical terms, this means that since the November 2023 order we have not been allowed to import disposable e-cigarettes with more than 2 ml of e-liquid, although we were assured that we could sell through products already imported until the end of August 2024.

Personally, we don't see any sensible purpose behind this restriction, other than making e-cigarettes less attractive as a way to quit tobacco. We therefore see it as consumer-unfriendly and environmentally counterproductive. If disposable vapes are limited to a maximum of 600 puffs or a 2 ml fill volume, all it does is create more waste.

As an alternative to larger disposable vapes, new models are now available where the disposable vape itself has a 2 ml fill volume and an additional 10 ml bottle of e-liquid is included, ultimately giving you a larger combined volume.

The Vozol Bar 1200 20mg disposable vape is powered by a built-in 700 mAh battery and is designed for around 1200 puffs. The disposable vape is prefilled with 4 ml of 20 mg/ml nic salt e-liquid and is available in 17 different flavours. It features automatic draw activation and has a 1.8 ohm coil resistance, making it ideal for MTL vaping. As it's a disposable vape, there's no need to refill or recharge it. It's intended for single use only and can be disposed of properly after use.
