Why do we no longer sell the Vozol Gear 7000?

Because there is no specific legal basis—or more precisely, because e-cigarettes are not covered by the Swiss Tobacco Products Act—nicotine-containing e-liquids and prefilled cartridges with nicotine may be sold under the Cassis de Dijon principle. This principle states that, in the interests of competition, products approved in the European Economic Area may also be sold in Switzerland. EU tobacco product regulations stipulate that e-liquids containing nicotine must not be sold in bottles larger than 10 ml. Prefilled cartridges and disposable e-cigarettes must not contain more than 2 ml of e-liquid either. Even though one country within the European Economic Area does not apply this restriction, in November 2023 we were instructed to comply with EU standards—regardless of the fact that, under the Cassis de Dijon principle, these products should also be marketable in Switzerland. Taking this legal situation to court would likely take longer than the finalisation of the new Swiss Tobacco Products Ordinance, which will create this issue anyway. In practice, this means that since the November 2023 ruling, we have no longer been allowed to import disposable e-cigarettes with more than 2 ml of e-liquid; however, we were given until the end of August 2024 to sell off products that had already been imported.

Personally, we don’t see any reasonable purpose behind this restriction, other than making e-cigarettes less attractive as a way to quit tobacco. We therefore consider it consumer-unfriendly and environmentally nonsensical. If disposable e-cigarettes are only allowed to offer up to 600 puffs with a 2 ml fill volume, the result is simply more waste.

As an alternative to larger disposable e-cigarettes, new models are now available where the disposable vape itself has a 2 ml fill volume but comes bundled with an additional 10 ml bottle of e-liquid, so you still get a larger total volume overall.

A charging cable is not included, but is available separately if you need one. Each disposable vape contains premium e-liquid with 20 mg nic salt, giving you up to 7000 flavour-packed puffs. Inside the device, a VAMT mesh coil delivers excellent flavour. 

Once the disposable vape is empty, you can dispose of it properly and replace it with a new one.
