Review of Vapefly TGO Pod Set: A Compact and Innovative Vaping Device
Vapefly TGO Pod Set
It’s like Groundhog Day… A new day, a new pod system or AIO…
First off, the question arises – is it a pod system or an AIO? - I’ve decided for myself that it’s an AIO. I’m just going to ignore the designation given by Vapefly. Why? For me, it’s an AIO system if you can change the coils, which is possible here and therefore absolutely up to date.

Now that we’ve cleared that up – to avoid any confusion in the text - let’s get to the main point. The star of the show, the TGO Pod Set from Vapefly. First thing you notice is the design. Compact with beautiful curves. The fire button is right where it should be and is easy to use. I was lucky enough to get the Yellow/Black version. Bumblebee, that's what I call it. Not because I’m crazy and hope that TGO comes when I call it by name. But when I’ve misplaced the device again, my surroundings know what I mean when I search confusedly for my vape and ask. The fire button does the job.
What’s new? What’s different? Why should one take a look at or buy the TGO POD-Mod from Vapefly?
What speaks for this small, handy AIO system are the 2300mAh provided by the battery. Furthermore, it offers a tank capacity of 4.5ml. But for me, the absolute argument, something that has not been offered yet, is clearly the fire button. Vapefly advertises that the TGO POD-Mod is the first POD-Mod with a “Fingerprint” sensor. I thought about it and looked around and found nothing comparable. So what? What's so great about it?? Quite simple! The button doesn’t fire when it’s in your pocket, objects are ignored, which means there is no accidental operation in the pocket. In fact, it must be a capacitive sensor, meaning it works through the different electrical charges of the skin that touches the sensor. Once unlocked (which happens very swiftly), the button only triggers with fingers. Six different fingerprints can be stored. Of course, you can also turn off the sensor (for 24 hours), but even then, there is no firing without a finger. (Just to take the wind out of the sails of all critics, YES, you can fire it with the tip of your nose or if you want, with your big toe, but who has such things in their pocket?) With “Bumblebee” I have stored both my thumbs, as the TGO POD feels most comfortable in my hands and is easiest to operate (in my opinion). In everyday life, the whole thing works very reliably and without problems. You quickly get used to it and don’t notice it anymore. The power is easy to adjust, in addition the MOD offers four modes (Eco, Standard, Sport and a Variable mode for own power curves). There is also a puff counter on board. With a 0.6 Ohm coil and 23 Watts, the battery lasts for 500+ puffs, which I find very decent. A big PLUS is clearly the USB-Type C port (a cable is included). The display is clear and easy to read. The child in me wished that you could change the color of the display at this point. This way, you could have matched the color to your MOD. 7 color variants are offered. So there should be something for everyone.
Tank & Coils
The tank/pod of the TGO POD-Mod offers a generous 4.5ml. The tank is made of plastic and is conveniently filled from the top. Simply press a small button and slide the tank lid. Filling is problem-free, even if it’s easier with the tank removed, as you can see the fill level much better. This is not so easy when it's installed, even though small openings serve as viewing windows. But even with the tank in the mod, you can fill it up; with a bit of practice and patience, it's no problem. This is the only thing I could criticize about the device, but it would be “nitpicking at a high level”.
The tank is held in place with 4 magnets. I haven't accidentally pulled it out yet, the hold is firm and very good. The mouthpiece/drip-tip is permanently attached, which is due to the filling mechanism. But it has a pleasant mouth feel so I didn’t feel the need to replace it. In terms of draw, it is clearly a DL (direct lung) device, even if an airflow offers the possibility to adjust the airflow a bit tighter. With the included coils (YES, changeable coils) which have a resistance of 0.3 and 0.6 Ohm, the DL claim is underscored once again. Whether there will be coils with a higher resistance in the future is not known. 1.2 Ohm coils, which have a tighter air channel, would certainly not be a bad idea and would probably also enable a usable tight MTL (mouth-to-lung) draw. With the 0.6 Ohm coil, you can also vape liquids with 6mg nicotine without feeling like a truck is driving over your chest. However, this statement should be taken with caution, as not everyone tolerates nicotine in the same way. Here, I am simply sharing MY vaping experience. I was as excited as a bowstring about the coils, wondering if and how they would perform. After Vapefly delivered good work with the pre-made coils for the Kriemhild. The coils for the TGO Pod Set are of high quality in terms of taste, and honestly, many new pre-made coils (thanks to the mesh coils) offer a good to very good taste. So here, too, Vapefly has done everything right. The liquid/flavor change with a new liquid is swift; after 5 to 10 puffs, the new liquid was fully there (depending on the intensity of the previous liquids). I would describe the durability of the coils as "very decent".
Conclusion
Let's get to the conclusion. I'm looking forward to my vacation, during which this little "darling" will be my compact companion. Since I was allowed to test "Bumblebee," it has proven to be a reliable and handy device, performing its duties inconspicuously and calmly. I can’t and don’t want to say anything about the durability of the "Fingerprint" sensor, because it can be defective even with the best smartphones. It's a bit like a car. One can hold for 20 years, the other rusts after five years. In terms of taste, the TGO Pod Set from Vapefly is certainly in the upper third of the market. The handling, especially with the "Fingerprint" sensor, is top-notch.
The only thing that bothers me a bit is the somewhat tricky filling with the tank inserted. But as already mentioned, this is really nitpicking. Everything else about the device convinces me.
The design is top-notch, the power adjustment works flawlessly, the display is clear and easy to read, and the variety of colors leaves nothing to be desired. I am very satisfied and can recommend the TGO Pod Set from Vapefly without any reservations.
