Atomizer Low – what can you do?
Atomizer Low or Low Resistance warning: what you can do
Every vape mod has a certain resistance range it can fire. In most cases, this is usually somewhere between 0.1 ohm and 3 ohms. If the coil resistance falls below or above that range, most mods will show an “Atomizer Low” message. Depending on the brand and model, you may also see warnings such as Low/High Resistance, Ohms too low/high, and so on. They all mean the same thing: the resistance of your atomizer is outside the range your mod can safely fire.
If you’re deliberately running an extremely low resistance, below 0.1 ohm, or a very high resistance above 2 ohms, there’s a good chance your mod won’t handle it and will display the Atomizer Low message.
To rule out the mod as the source of the fault, quickly test another atomizer on it. If that one works, the problem is with the atomizer.
Atomizer Low with stock-coil tanks
Check that all parts and the coil inside the atomizer are screwed in securely. If the coil is sitting loose in the atomizer, that can definitely cause the issue. If that doesn’t seem to be the problem, replace the coil with a new one. If the Atomizer Low warning still appears, there’s a fairly high chance that the atomizer is defective.
Atomizer Low with rebuildables
With rebuildables, Atomizer Low is usually caused by the installed coil touching the inside of the chamber somewhere, or by the positive pin not being tightened properly. So first, check your build. The coil may be positioned too high or it may be too wide. Also check the positive pin and make sure it’s tightened enough. Another reason for the Atomizer Low message can be the coil resistance, especially if the coil has just been installed and hasn’t been dry-burned yet. Try it on another mod or install a coil that you know is within your mod’s firing range.
