E-Liquids – Flavourings and Their Effect
The longer you vape – even if you suddenly go back to smoking, or you’re a dual user – after just a few months you can spot added flavourings with your eyes closed.
That doesn’t mean someone blindfolds you and you can suddenly identify flavouring A or B – it means you’ll notice any food that contains flavouring. Whether it’s crisps, sweets, milkshakes or yoghurts: if a product contains a flavouring that isn’t naturally derived, you can be sure you’ll pick it up straight away.
On the one hand, that’s pretty useful, at least if you want to feed your family without artificial additives. On the other, it can ruin your favourite crisps for you. Vaping is basically the end of Pringles and the like. And all kinds of cola and similar drinks suddenly take on completely new nuances too.
One quick tip – if you have flavour concentrates that don’t taste great in a vape, try adding a few drops to a glass of milk – vanilla or strawberry flavours in particular can be surprisingly nice. For kids, though, I’d stick to milkshakes made with real berries.
